About MQA
MQA is one of the
most well-organized state quilting associations in the country. We have 3
gatherings a year, plus an educational seminar with a nationally-known teacher.
Fall and Spring gatherings include demos and programs you can take back to your
guild, and in June we have day-long workshops in Pearl where our own teachers
lead classes to improve our skill repertoire.

Welcome to the newest
connecting thread for MQA members and quilters from Mississippi and
beyond!
About MQA
The Mississippi Quilt
Association, founded in 1991, gives all quiltmakers and quilt
enthusiasts opportunities to grow and develop their skills, gain
knowledge about the history of quiltmaking, and to meet new friends with
a common interest. In 2001 it received non-profit 501c(3) status under
the IRS Code.
Gatherings
MQA has three "gatherings"
each year - February, June and October - with meetings rotating to
different areas of the state.
Meetings are normally held on Friday night and Saturday and include
programs, classes, demonstrations, and a time for "show and tell".
The June Gathering
includes all-day workshops which are tailored to cover a variety of
techniques and skill levels.
Classes are taught by MQA members who
are recognized for their expertise.
Educational
Seminar
Each summer a
nationally-known quilting instruction teaches an Educational Seminar in
three strategic locations around the state.
