Judy Stokes featured at Mountain Quiltfest 2019

Judy, who has been making Bonnie Hunter quilt pattern and mystery quilts for quite some time, was featured with a special showing of the Bonnie Hunter quilts that she had made. Bonnie was teaching at Mountain Quiltfest and Judy was selected to show her quilts. If you click the link at the bottom, that takes you to Bonnie’s Blog, where it will give information on which publication have the patterns if you are interested in making your version of one of these quilts.

In addition to the patterns by Bonnie Hunter, Judy showed the quilt Soaring to New Heights. Judy designed this quilt in answer to the AQS challenge New Quilts from an Old Favorite. It was awarded a blue ribbon at the show. Notice the binding. The amazing quilting was done by Colleen Eskridge of Boone, North Carolina. Colleen was a former MQA member. What a wonderful show and work of art.

Judy was also honored by Bonnie as she wrote a blog post about the show. Click here to read it! MQA is so lucky to have her a member and a leader in our organization. I know I have learned a lot from you and many other members could say the same. Thanks Judy!
