Stitched is an exhibit celebrating the art of quilting that is currently being shown in the crosstown area of Memphis, Tennessee. It will run though July 28, 2019. It is being hosted by the Crosstown Arts, in the Concourse Avenue facility. This facility is a really cool facility on its own. It is a place that renovated an old building into a place that has shopping, restaurants, churches, YMCA, and shared art space in addition to theaters, galleries and residences.
There are two exhibits to see one is a traveling exhibit called Masterworks: Abstract & Geometric. That exhibit is made of works by master quilters that show the diversity of quilting today in relation to abstract art.
The second gallery has an exhibit called BLUE. It is a show of 24 x 24 inch regionally sourced quilts done by artists, quilters, students and makers.
